Biggest event ever in Finland

The biggest event ever in Finland will take place this summer when the 10th IAAF World Championships of Athletics will be held from 6-14 August 2005 right here in Helsinki.

Athlete Village

The Athletes' Village will be in Otaniemi, where they will be surrounded by nature and sea, yet close to services. The area is well known for being the biggest high-tech center of Finland.

Will these ideal settings provide the surroundings for world-record breaking performances by the athletes?

Largest sports event worldwide in 2005

The media is betting on it.

With over 3000 to 4000 representatives of the media and 3000 athletes from 200 countries, this will be the biggest sports event around the world this year.
