If you leave your row-house, you will miss your garage. Upmarket Finnish apartments have undercover parking. More usually it's a carpark; dedicated carpark spots or wild parking.

There's usually a limited number of dedicated carpark spots - you will fight tooth and nail, and may have to go on a waiting list.

Because a dedicated carpark spot has a dedicated electricity pole that you can plug the car into to warm the car's engine. If you don't warm the engine, a few nights of -10C and your car battery will die.
