If you are a tourist visiting Helsinki during these days, you will witness a quite peculiar sight on the streets. The young people are wearing overalls, which are decorated with company logos, they stroll around in huge hordes and drink champagne in public. But what is even more strange, everybody - young and old - are wearing white hats. This symbolizes the fact, that once they have graduated from high school.

So if you don't have a white hat, it is quite embarrassing to walk in the city on April 30 and May 1, because people might think, that you are a dropout or otherwise simple minded.
