Hyvaa paasiaista! - Easter in Christmas Country
Now Playing: Ultimate Ten (Discovery Channel)
Topic: News
Easter is soon starting, so what is there to do during easter in Helsinki? A good idea is to go and have a look at the easter decorations in the Wintergarden (Talvipuutarha). Will they have those young chicks there this year also?

Another idea is to go and see the 'Crucis Parade', which is to be held on the 10th of April, starting at 21:00 from Kaisaniemi park going via the House of States to the Senate Square, where over 100 actors and volunteers will act out a symbolic play about the crucification of Jesus, who will be played by Jarkko Pajunen. Tuomiokirkko, the majestic white church on Senaattitori, will probably be covered again with special lighting effects.

Another thing of partcular interest are the spectacular Easter Bonfires at Seurasaari. Gotten interested in what else Finns like to do during easter?

More events can be found from here. Happy easter!
