The Things we have
Topic: Stories
As you have probably noticed, every garden, backyard and street corner nowadays has their own big container. People are carrying stuff there, putting in it what they found during the big spring-cleaning, but don't need or want anymore. With the weary clothes, broken lamp shadows and unidentified objects there are lots of items that people simply don't use in their homes any longer, like French fries cutters or indoor TV-antennas.

That made me think about the stuff what we have in our homes. And how our possessions have changed during the past decades. Things what were a `must-have' about 10 years ago are now something sitting in a hidden corner, stuffed away to never be used again. For example: do you still have textile handkerchiefs? Do you still use a special box for all your needles and threads? How often do you really use your iron machine, or your mixer?

On the other hand we fill our homes with things, which would have been quite unusual objects in our parents houses - digiboxes, dvd-players and other miscellaneous items. And probably our children will peak into the backyard containers in 10 years from now and will have the same nostalgic feeling, seeing some old 17-inches monitor there.

Write us, what kind of "peculiarities" do you still have in your home or with what do you feel you couldn't survive without nowadays?
